Looking at the List #7

78. Use up my tanning credits.

I am a pale, pale person. Normally I get some color during the summer, but last year I started working full time and got NO color whatsoever. Fast forward six months and I had a wedding, a formal, and cheerleading tryouts coming up and I looked like a very blonde ghost. I went to the local cancer box tanning salon and purchased I think something like ten sessions. I went once or twice before each event and then forgot about it for awhile. I went again during the summer, but I just haven’t found the time since. When I do go, I go to one of the less powerful beds and I don’t tan for very long. I actually find it super relaxing and kind of miss it! I’m not sure if I will buy another package, but I should at least finish what I bought!

80. Go ice skating.

Recently I made a goal to be more social and get out more. I get bored with just going out for drinks, so I started looking back on things I did before I was of legal drinking age – bowling, ice skating, and sporting events were how I spent many a weekend during high school! I haven’t gone ice skating in FOREVER…hopefully I can go this winter! Bonus points if it’s on a lake or outdoors!

84. Come up with a workout routine that works for me.

Last year I was in the best shape of my life. I had been going to the gym regularly. I got all these workout videos to get ready for cheerleading. I was able to run three miles in 21 minutes…I’m pretty sure that’s faster than I was able to drive to work this morning. So what happened? Cheerleading ended and I “took a break”. A long break. I mean, I still walk my dog daily, but I don’t go to the gym. The other day, I tried to do one of the workout videos, but Lilly just climbed all over me. Going to the gym doesn’t work because I feel bad leaving the dog at home. Working out in a traditional way at home doesn’t work because my dog is apparently morally against it. I need to find some creative way to get my exercise. Suggestions?

87. Properly recycle my old laptop.

Before I left for college, my dad’s siblings all got together and bought me my laptop as a graduation/birthday present. Unfortunately, that laptop didn’t survive too long, but Apple replaced it! That one did manage to make it all the way through grad school before finally succumbing peacefully refusing to turn on one day. By this time not only was my laptop WAY out of warranty, but it was so old that Apple wouldn’t even fix it. So I did what any sane, cash-strapped twenty-something would do and bought an iMac. The only problem is that I still have this dead laptop taking up precious storage space in my closet.
